When the fourth quarter of the game rolls around, it's time to whip up some desserts that will have the Super Bowl football fans screaming for more.
What better way to finish out the biggest game of the year with desserts that are sure to please every football fan. Try out some of these sweet treats and cheer along for the finale of the big game.
Allow cream cheese to come to room temperature and then soften in an electric mixer.
Stir in cool whip, making it well-incorporated.
Add powdered sugar and peanut butter.
Add 2 crushed Butterfingers, and pour mixture in crusts.
Swirl top of the pies with chocolate syrup and sprinkle with remaining Butterfinger crumbles. Chill well and serve.
Note: If desired, this recipe can also be halved to just serve 1 pie.
Peanut Butter Football Cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 cup Karo (light)
2 cups peanut butter
6 cups cornflakes
1/2 stick butter
1/3 bag milk chocolate chips
Directions:
Measure corn flakes into a large bowl and set aside.
Place a large piece of wax paper on the counter top to drop cookies onto.
In a large, heavy saucepan, bring to a boil the sugar, Karo syrup and butter.
Boil well, about 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and add peanut butter. Mix well and pour over cornflakes. Coat sides well and mix lightly.
Spoon mini-football shaped cookies onto waxed paper. Allow to cool completely.
After creating football-shaped cookies on waxed paper, place 3 or 4 chocolate chips to mimic a line - like on a football - across the center of the cookie.
Note: These cookies are best when served 5-10 minutes after making them.
Chocolate Brownies
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons cocoa
1 cup white chocolate chips
1/2 cup nuts
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
¾ cup or approximately 1 cup (not hardly a cup) all-purpose flour
salt to taste (not much), maybe a dash
1/4 cup canola oil
Directions:
Heat oven to 325 degrees. (Double recipe for 9x13 pan) Mix together cocoa, sugar, all-purpose flour and salt.
Mix wet ingredients - eggs, vanilla and canola oil.
Pour dry ingredients into wet mixture.
Melt one stick margarine and mix into batter. Add Nuts and white chocolate chips if desired.
Bake 30 minutes or less until toothpick comes out clean when inserted into center of brownies.
Serving Suggestion: Serve hot with vanilla ice cream.
